After months of preparation and several days of nervous anticipation, the CowFunders assembled at The Rocks, under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, to commence Day 1 of the ‘Cows to Kosciuszko’ charity ride. Sydney, which had been inundated with rain in the week preceding, turned on a sparkling spring morning.

The CowFunders were tardy in dragging themselves away from Tarlo, and consequently late for a scheduled meeting with the very gracious and forgiving Mayor of Old Argyle Shire, Cr Paul Stephenson.

Day 5, Canberra - Cooma, NSW (116 km)

The CowFunders were joined at Canberra by Dr Steve Golding, who jumped off the early flight from Melbourne and straight onto a bicycle for the ride up the Monaro Highway to Cooma.

Thankfully it took six days for the elements to conspire against us. Today, on what was without doubt the toughest day of the ride, the CowFund cyclists were confronted with blustery headwinds as they departed Cooma for Perisher Valley.
